Florida beat Miami. Are we allowed to enjoy it?

I am not great with math here, but even if they got the FG, it would still be 23-24...

Think about it....they’d have been down 24-23 with the ball and could’ve kicked a fg at the end....I’m fairly certain that’s where he was going...

Miami’s D did look legit, but w/ Franks behind center, it’s expected.

Indeed. How many good defenses did Franks face last year? Two? Three? Michigan with six starters out does not count.

He padded his stats against bad defenses.

He and we as an offense have to show up against superior competition before we can count on going anywhere other than a marginal bowl game.

I’m just as certain they would have found a way to screw it up. They were not good enough to beat us and they didn’t.

No matter what scenario we conjure up....we win. I refuse to hold their hand and play the what if game. Goodbye Miami.

I posted a few months ago that UM was actually our 2nd biggest rival and got a few facepalm. I think alot of younger fans got a taste of that last night, if not, news flash, Miami hates our friggen guts. They would endure 10 losses to FSU just to beat us once.

As for the game itself, Miami played in the muck and I wasn't sure our team with half the starters from out of state could get down in it with them but, they did and were just as nasty as they were until the final second ticked off.

This was a REAL rivalry game that, I very much thought we could lose and I hope our fans and players learned something to take into the future games we have schedule with them. If you are having trouble mustering up any joy over this win, think about how all the UM fans feel this morning.

Not my scenario. I was just explaining it to another. I don’t like the what/if game either, as it always works both ways.

Then get the **** out of here and root for another team. Dude is a Gator and OUR starting QB. The fact that you admittedly root against the leader of our team is the cancer within our program and the exact reason our players label people like you bipolar!
Leader??? Leader of what? INT and fumbles?

I always find these kind of comments laughable. I've made no secret about what I think of Franks. But just because I think he's irredeemable, doesn't mean I root against him. Pretty sure thats the case with anyone that takes the time to post here.

What exactly was embarrassing? The fact that we finally beat a team that we’ve been 1-8 against or is it because we didn’t win by 21 points like everyone convinced themselves we would do?

What was embarrassing? In no particular order, our secondary's inability to tackle, our 1.9 average rush yards per carry, 100 yards of penalties most of which were in the 4th quarter, 4 ugly turnovers that were easy gifts to Miami, our inability to recover a fumble, and a QB who is more consumed with his time in the limelight than his play on the field.

I'm glad we beat Miami, but they are not a good team. Any halfway decent team would have beaten us the way we played last night. I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped in the polls after next week. We did not look at all like a top 25 team let alone a top 10. We've got to play up to our potential. So far we are not even close.

Somebody needs to smack that punk out of him & tell him to stfu and act like an adult. It's embarrassing.
He just about gave the game away! He has no situational awareness and seems to have the maturity of a 14 yr old. He is our QB but damn he is frustrating to watch.

I certainly don’t think the canes are a great team. However, they are a “halfway decent team” and we beat them.

I am hoping Miami is our UK moment from last year, except we squeaked out a W instead of an L. I'll be shocked if Miami is unranked by the end of the season.
