If he's back it changes the interior of the line completely. I wonder if he will be working at center or guard. Our other guards looked horrible in the O&B game.

It sure does. Even one body, and with experience is a huge boost. Maybe he goes at Guard and next to Ivey.

Phin, I would love for you to be right on that. I would trade out a win just to kick the Noles' arse.

Have any of you actually watched Trip Thurman play? He's not a good player, and never has been. Now it's a question of whether he'll ever play another down, and that might be a good thing for UF because it's not hard to imagine someone being better than him. If you're hanging your hat on Trip Thurman, you've got some serious issues in the offensive line.

Somewhat optomistic. I wonder what we will do at MO, which I might go to see. I really need to take a trial trip out there to see the lay of the land.

Ole Miss might be another loss, but being at home might help.

I don't see South Carolina being a win either.

I hope that I am wrong at least on some of these.

Last win in Gainesville against the clowns was Tebow's farewell. We are stomping their ass this year, even if we are 6-5 or so coming in.

I am revising. I think we will kick FSU's ass. 11-1.

Obviously we know now we should beat the spear chunkers but, I think if we play like we did the other night in death valley this could in sensational fashion and turnaround, be our first undefeated season. Either way, good call back then Phin :chomp:

Even Spurrier and Meyer lost 2 games and 3 games respectively in each of their first years. Beyond LSU and UGA, though, I don't know who could beat us, outside of ourselves.

Fun back read. Can't believe how many of you thought we were going to lose to USCjr this year.

^ This!

And here's how we can get to 9-3!:

Sept. 5 NEW MEXICO STATE - WIN
Sept. 12 EAST CAROLINA - WIN
Sept. 19 at Kentucky - WIN (still early in the season and our O-line should still be healthy.)
Sept. 26 TENNESSEE – prolly a WIN (hard to go “W” but unless KY injures our O-line then same above applies here. Perhaps a field-goal win.)
Oct. 3 OLE MISS - WIN (probably even with this team but at home gives UF the advantage.)
Oct. 10 at Missouri - LOSE
Oct. 17 at LSU - LOSE (very hard to win at their place)
Oct. 24 OPEN
Oct. 31 Georgia (Jax) - WIN (something odd will happen & we won’t suffer three L’s in a row.)
Nov. 7 VANDERBILT - WIN
Nov. 14 at South Carolina - LOSE (Injuries on the O-line start to mount up & yes, SOS beats us for the last time.)
Nov. 21 FLORIDA ATLANTIC - WIN
Nov. 28 FLORIDA STATE - WIN (UF’s Defense steps up and yes, Semenholes are replacing a lot on their Offense and Defense.)

So far, so good.

But I hope I'm wrong about Missouri and South Carolina.

In the case of Meyer, we looked very disorganized until he put the FB back in the system. I think it was the bye week before UGA. I'd say Mac has been much more impressive in his first year than Meyer. However, Meyer was always known as a second year coach.

I completely forgot about that. But you're hundred percent correct. The fullback changed everything.
