Absolutely. That's nothing but a prelude to his termination. Whoever actually proposed that to him has balls as big as church bells. He's crazy to renegotiate a lower buyout.
I have zero interest in malzahns offensive influence. None. The passing game at the barn hasn't been impressive at since hes been there. He's made stidham worse. For sure. I think very highly of him as an offensive mind and think he's immediately the best OC available if he goes that route. I just don't think Mullen would use him. Maybe for a few wrinkles on his RPOs. If Mullen is going to hire somebody that he'll actually let have an impact, I think itd be a passing game coordinator. Mullen would call plays until 3rd & longs and then youd have a guy that did nothing all week but look at the other team's 3rd down tendencies.
A guy like Kingsbury would be interesting to me. He's learned from great offensive coaches. Had a great O at Houston and then even better at tamu. He's an air-raid guy, but their O at tamu led the SEC in rushing and passing so he can be balanced. He's coached case keenum and johnny football so that, coupled with him being young, probably makes him a good recruiter.
This is the sort of stuff that will determine if mullen richts or makes us elite. Kingsbury would almost def be a huge upgrade over two different guys on staff.

Cliff Kingsbury would be interesting to me. He runs a totally different offense, obviously. But as you say, him having some influence would be nice. But let's be real, he's gonna be the hottest OC on the market.

I agree. I love his hair. He reminds me of that actor from the Noteboo...wait...
I don't think it's likely, but also not impossible. Depends what he wants. He'll get HC offers from small schools, but def not big ones any time soon, bc it wasn't pretty at tech. He learned from some great offensive minds, but the ones I mentioned arent widely considered great HCs.Cliff Kingsbury would be interesting to me. He runs a totally different offense, obviously. @DanWolken: Coming off an 8-4 year, Missouri coach Barry Odom’s name has been popping up with multiple searches today. One big reason why: Only $2 million of his Missouri contract is guaranteed. Jimmy Sexton angling for more security, sure, but there could be a real market for him.
This must be the outlet that reported Stricklin had Tagglewain on his coaching short list last season. Even if they did contact Stoops, Stoops made it clear he, unlike Meyer, was more concerned about family. One of the reasons he left coaching was his father died of a heart attack at a young age. Right about Bob Stoops age right now."However, Football Scoop added this to their report:
For what it is worth, FootballScoop was told that people representing Auburn met with Bob Stoops a few weeks back…."
He's good at his job for sure.I like how Jimmy Sexton gets a raise every year no matter which of his shytty clients win.
Last year, Butters and Brick by Brick tank, so he finds away to get 10 mil for Chimp.
This year Chimp tanks, ok Odom and Baby Stoops need money bc they beat Chimp and Voleschimp and went 8-4 instead of 6-6.
No matter what, he and his clients make tens of millions more every fvgging year.
Do people not write real sentences in plain English anymore??@BruceFeldmanCFB: #BowlingGreen is hiring #BC OC Scot Loeffler as BG's new head coach.
