I was looking for more of a father figure I could relate to.
Not exactly setting the bar high.
Curious why we don't have an official word yet? Gray was officially announced pretty quickly.
There is no way Mullen makes a hire for 1 recruit
Be honest, did you really know who utsa is? I did google it and my point was.... we hired a coach away from utsa.......
He has great stats with good players the other problem is at A&M he has miles garret and that was it no other good lineman I’ll be cautiously optimistic until proven otherwise and defer to Mullen’s expertise and experience with him I’m sure Grantham is a micromanager and will have input on everything he does or teaches anyway
You could pick any member from this board (except jboss of course) and it'd be a better hire than Nord.

My man, Lake!
So how does this guy go from coaching D-line for half the teams in the SEC to taking an assistant coaching job at UTSA? Doesn't seem like a very good career trajectory.
His stats were usually in the top 1/3rd of football, but never super high. Not sure that's great. A guy like Patrick has had great stats and a guy like Bam had great improvement stats from his coaching.
Maybe we could have gotten someone better. But I'm curious why you think we should have waited to signing day?
I feel a lot of coaches, even the ones mentioned here would more open to leaving after signing day. I don't see alot of top coaches moving right now, minus the a$$es that left here.
Still nothing official is weird to me.
Yep...I am still holding out hope that we get Kuligowski and then the dominoes fall with Bogle and Pickering as a result of that hire.
Nords reflection in a mirror would be a better hire than Nord.
I'm still holding out hope for shania Twain
I don't think he's hired. If he was, it would have been announced. It may be in work, but it's not done.
I wonder if it's a situation where it's a done deal and even the recruits know, but there was a benefit for one side to wait til after a certain date to actually sign due to a contract? Feel like ive heard of that before in coaching. The fact that people reported it as done almost definitely means he was contacted and I assume the chance of him turning it down is close to 0.
