On the bright side
Ok, who lives in Gainesville? Need a volunteer to work with the Sun on a full-page "Fire The Dwag" ad. I'll chip in.
That’s the first time in a long time that the offense was not only sharp, but fun to watch. Trask, Pitts, and the offense looked fantastic. The defense looked like the special olympics.
Agree. And just the add some measure of balance, many here and elsewhere spent about a decade clamoring that they “just want to see some damn offense”. Well, we got it. But plenty of us also said that winning 55-45 would be just as frustrating to watch as 17-13. Incomplete football is incomplete football. But this was still better.
Bama ‘14, which was also against a Kiffin coached offense and Blake Sims of all QB’s.
I agree with you on Stiner. The rest of the back 7 I thought their play was very uncharacteristic, especially for Wilson and Elam. Dean played better than Stiner. I’d play him at SS over Stiner ALL DAY. And I give two ****s about that roughing the passer call.
How can we make the secondary want the secondary to be their primary concern?
Well at least we’ve pulled even in the all time series with the Rebs at 12-12-1. Still pathetic we don’t lead this series, thanks to Zook mainly.
probably would be less concerned if I thought it was just a rust issue.
After watching some other SEC offenses (a term I use loosely today) I am not sure we just didnt see the best in the league us, and then the Sharkabelles.
It’s damn sure looking that way.
Trask is not the leading sec passer today. Costello shredding the lsu defense for 500+ yards.
Yep. Looks like @Acecustis was right. ****!
When I watched the replay, it looked like his head was up. The play arrow on your jpg is blocking the view, so your evidence is lacking. Being a civilian gives you absolutely no exemption from my authority. I'm a Master Chief. Don't test me. The fact that law agrees with me DOES concern me. Well played, sir.
It doesnt matter if his head was down. He cant head with his head (targeting) and just ducking your head or closing your eyes doesnt make it a legal play to hit a guy late "because you didnt see".
I didn't get to watch the game. How was our o line and running game? It's obvious that the defense sucked, but I think that it can be corrected. I think that the rotation in the db backfield has to end; play your best guys and give them repetitions, manage the rotation and put the best players in position to make plays. Just my opinion but I would appreciate some input.
Wasn't late and he simply followed through with a textbook wrap up tackle. Refs probably threw the flag because it was the only form tackle of the day.
Had I been Kiffen, I would have kicked a field goal with 4 seconds left. Wasn't going to win and Ole Miss bettors would have loved for the Gators not to cover.
