IF the refs call a fair game (i.e. holding our receivers, etc.) then we have a real chance IMHO. But I'm not counting on it...
We certainly don’t look like we belong on the same field with Bama.
And we hired Mr Dysfunction again.and a talented if somewhat dysfunctional offense.
you need to talk to the recruiting staff and coaching staff.Every time I see this attitude on this board, I want to throw up.

We hung 63 on Arky the week after UGA and gave up some late garbage TD's to win by 28 in our only night game I recall. I'd say that was a quality top 5 showing. The only time we looked like a top 5 team all year was against uga. Since then we've only played teams who will finish with a losing record, and we have yet to cover the spread in the last month. Yes, we have a chance against Bama, but no, we have not looked like an equal contender this year.
Missouri will finish with a winning record, and the only other teams in the SEC that will do the same are Alabama, Texas A&M, and most likely Auburn. Ole Miss has a chance to improve on their 4-4 record if they’re able to get back on the field after their Covid outbreak. So there just aren’t many teams with a winning record in the league, meaning Alabama has had the same soft schedule we have. The only time we looked like a top 5 team all year was against uga. If Saban goes back to ground and pound its gonna be a loooong game for the good guys.My thoughts exactly on this game. I’d rather get in a shootout with Bama chucking it as well. What’s the worst that happens a bomb to smith or one of their other wideouts? At least we get the ball back quickly...better than them demoralizing us by pounding down our throats and keeping our offense off the field

I was referring to the teams we've played since uga. All the teams you mentioned were before. My point was that we didn't perform like a top 5 team against poor teams.

We've definitely played up and down to our competition. Not a good quality, and it makes this week almost as concerning as next. Almost.
I get the feeling that the players and coaches can't help but look ahead to Bama at least a little bit this week, which may result in another game where we at least failed to cover the spread. But it's not the spread that concerns me. It's watching the same mistakes over and over again with players who look uninspired because they know they're going to Atlanta.
Bama seems to play to their potential. We haven't done that as a team all year.
