Napier said he sets aside time each morning before the rest of the coaching staff arrives to pray, work through devotionals and read about leadership. He said he is currently using Sports Spectrum’s devotionals.

“It’s helped me,” he said. “I know I’m better when I follow through. Certainly, I’m not perfect by any means, but that’s a big part of really keeping perspective.”

Does anyone know the total amount of $ Napier is getting? I don’t think I’ve seen it posted anywhere.

Terms of the contract have not been released anywhere. Don't know how much he's getting paid or for how long. All the stories I've seen say that he has come to an agreement with UF, but I don't see anyone saying he signed a contract. If he did then under Florida law they'd have to make that info available. Nor is there any confirmation that UF has paid the Univ. of Louisiana anything yet.

Maybe UF reached an agreement with him in principle but aren't putting pen to paper until after Dec. 31st, which would save UF $2,900,000.00 because that's when his buyout drops from $4.9 million to $2 million.

Contract hasn't been released because it's still in flux I think. He was given a total amount to spend on himself and assistants. I think he's willing to take less for now, to attract bigger names. I'd expect him to land in the $4 or $5mil per year range.

Pretty sure it would've been reported if there is no buyout owed. Lots of articles say there is, although I've seen different amounts listed for it.

I doubt I was right about him not signing the contract until after Dec. 31st though, since I just read that he's starting work at UF on Sunday.
