Yeah, thanks. I think I'll pass on watching 36 minutes of game film. This isn't a new discussion, Euro. I hope the kid can overcome it. It's even more important at the next level.

I cued up three straight pass plays, and really, it was for others who wanted to look for themselves instead of just reading your thoughts and mine. I don't care if you watch the whole video - a three plays (20 seconds of real time) are enough to see his motion.

I'm glad it's been discussed. I disagree that it's slower than average, much less painfully slow.

Like I've said, time will tell.

Despite the improvements he's made this year, and will make in the off season it won't be nearly enough for the drunk SOB two rows behind me in the swamp.

I think Frank's will definitely put his name in for evaluation for the draft, and wouldn't be shocked if he thought enough of himself to leave.

Lol, the “braintrust” is still throwing Franks out with the bath water after leading us to a New Years Six bowl win and a likely final 7 or 8 ranking. Even better, in favor of a completely unproven redshirt freshman.

It’s comical. Our coach is cousin Eddie and our QB is a “mental midget”. You would think they were Noles criticizing them.

The goal is a national championship.

How many of you think Feleipe Franks is capable of leading us to a national championship?

I really hope Emory wins the job next year but he hasn't shown anything to make me believe he will. He was maybe as raw as Frank's coming out of high school and like Frank's had excelled on weaker competition and natural ability. I hope it's one of the Joneses but if I had to bet today I'd bet 10 to 1 its Franks.

Yeah you're right. I'm sitting here watching a true freshman lead his team to he national title game, but I shouldn't hope that EJ can beat out Franks next year. Lets just keep running Franks out there and take the good with the bad. Maybe we'll get another Peach Bowl title for the trophy case.

Wtf? Why can’t you hope that? EJ has an excellent chance to earn the job next year. Is it your position that EJ would have led us to a NC this year as a freshman? My point is ....is it necessary to denigrate DM or FF just because we think someone else may be better? I have never understood Gators bashing Gators. BTW I can’t wait to see EJ on the field and I personally think JJ may be the best of all.

In the defense of Franks bashing, he has given the fans plenty of reasons not to like him. He's made himself extremely unlikable a number of times.

This debate is actually a positive sign. For once in what seems like a millennium, we have legit quarterback competition.

I just don't think Dan Mullen is nearly as sold on Franks as you guys seem to think. If Kyle Trask doesn't break his foot, Franks gets benched. Let's get real - would Dan Mullen have ever recruited Franks? Of course not, because he's not a fit for the offense.

I think EJ has the leg up leading into the Spring, not Franks. Mullen wants to give him the job, EJ just has to perform.

(see what I did there)

This year, none of our QB's were good enough to plausibly lead us to a national championship.

The same could be said for many positions. I'm not sure our OL, DT, LB, S, or CB positions were good enough. Maybe none of our position groups besides our kicking specialists (Townsend, I'm remembering your season's performance, not just tonight's) would be easily seen as nation championship caliber players. In fact I would say the WR's and RB's are the only position groups I would feel comfortable comparing to the elite teams in college football.

What position groups do you think are on that level?

Franks should transfer ASAP if he wants a guarantee to play in the pros

That’s probably why I like him more than most here. He doesn’t just take everyone’s **** like Driskel did. He basically says FU. I like that he’s got that fight in him.

I'm obviously projecting over the next two. Franks severely limits our passing game.

In my mind, you can't win a title absent a solid passing game. I don't know that Jones could fill that void, but I also don't know he can't. I want to know.

I know Franks can't. That kid had a receiver in the end zone about eight yards away screaming for the ball. He ran out of bounds.

I sorta agree with this. But he absolutely will make him earn it. FF has earned his respect with his grit and work ethic. He won’t hand it over easily. EJ has to work harder than ever before. The opportunity is there.

I expected to see more EJ in this game, especially with all the time to prep for this game. What did he end up playing, like 4 plays when the game mattered? Spring ball will be very telling. Franks has definitely played better than I ever thought he could, it’s certainly nice not to cringe every time he throws the ball now. Lol. I give Franks credit for improving, but he needs a lot more improvement to lead us to a conference championship or greater. Just can’t see him doing it, maybe he’ll prove me wrong again.

CDM said often the #1 goal is to win the game. That he kept in Franks is telling.

Franks is the undisputed starter. It up to those behind him to pass him. He grew a lot this year with actual coaching.

Well I guess as many think that a 175# stick man whose helmet appears way oversized for his body and hasn't had a run over 5 yards or thrown a pass against SEC competition and will need to run 10-15 times a game in Mullens offense, will.....
